All the rules and all laws in Old England at the time were passed through parliament. Parliament was the branch of government that held the power to discuss, create, and change the laws. They did this by discussing with the current king about town issues and, afterward, voting on ways to solve them. When meeting, parliament's elected members divided into five groups:

1)the prelates (bishops and abbots)

2)the magnates (earls and barons)


3)the inferior clergy


4)the shires' knights


5)the town's citizens


Also they was rules for childs in school like:

  1. Students must stand up to answer questions and wait for permission to speak
  2. Students must call teachers "Sir" or "Miss"
  3. Students must stand when an adults enters the room
  4. Girls wiil learn needlework and boys will learn technical drawin.
